About BPSC Guru

About BPSC Guru: free BPSC practice tests

BPSC Guru is a free practice site for candidates preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) prelims, especially the 72nd BPSC exam. Every test and note on the site is free to use and needs no sign-up.

What you will find here

The complete list is on the free BPSC mock test series page.

How the quizzes work

Each quiz follows the BPSC prelims pattern of five options, with +1 mark for a correct answer and −1/3 mark for a wrong one. Option (E) stands for “not attempted” and carries no penalty. When you pick an option you see the right answer and an explanation straight away, and the score calculator at the end shows how you did in each section.

How the content is prepared

Quizzes are built around the NCERT textbooks and the pattern of previous BPSC papers, and every answer comes with an explanation. Scheme guides summarise publicly available information about Bihar and central government schemes. Rules, amounts and deadlines change, so always confirm the details on the official portal before you apply.

Who runs BPSC Guru

BPSC Guru is run by Nandan, a research scholar (PhD, Economics) at Delhi University, who edits every note and test on the site. Most of the notes and practice tests are written by Harsha, who also proofreads the site: she sees a mistake in an instant, which is what landed her here, and is completing a Master’s in Linguistics. Everything on the site is free to use and needs no sign-up.

How facts are checked and errors fixed

Questions and notes are written from the NCERT textbooks (Class 6 to 12), BPSC’s own notices and syllabus, and previous BPSC papers, and each answer carries an explanation that says where it comes from. Exam dates, vacancies and rules are taken from BPSC notices and are re-checked whenever a new notice is issued; the date on each page shows when it was last reviewed. If you find a wrong answer or an out-of-date fact, use the contact page. Corrections are made on the page itself, and where the original answer key was wrong the question carries a note saying so.
