Economy

The economy section of the BPSC prelims asks about India’s economy since independence (planning, the 1991 reforms, GST, recent policy) and, with more weight than most candidates expect, Bihar’s economy: growth and per-capita income, agriculture and the agro-industry push, ethanol, migration and regional inequality, the state Budget and the Economic Survey of Bihar.

Read Bihar’s economic transition and regional inequality and agro-based industries and ethanol production in Bihar first, then test the year’s numbers with the Budget 2026-27 and Economic Survey quiz (185 questions). The Bihar economy PYQ set covers agriculture, minerals and population as BPSC has asked them, and the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters guide is an example of the central scheme questions that turn up under economy.

For scheme-based economy questions (Udyami Yojana, PMFME, the Student Credit Card) see Government Schemes.
