Government Schemes

Plain-language guides to the government schemes that matter in Bihar, written for two readers: BPSC candidates, who are asked about scheme names, launch years, targets and nodal departments, and applicants, who need eligibility, benefits and the application route. Each guide summarises publicly available information and links to the official portal; rules, amounts and deadlines change, so confirm on the portal before you apply.

For the exam, start with Saat Nishchay, parts 1 and 2 and Jeevika, the two programmes BPSC returns to most often, then Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali. For applicants, the most-read guides are the Mukhyamantri Udyami and Yuva Udyami Yojana (up to Rs 10 lakh), the Bihar Student Credit Card, and the Laghu Udyami, Niji Nalkup and PMFME schemes.

Scheme facts for BPSC are tested in the Bihar special mock test and appear in the monthly Bihar current affairs notes.
